Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Uncommon Schools is a nonprofit network of high-performing, public charter schools providing an outstanding K-12 education in historically under-resourced communities. We are seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our team at Rochester Prep. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs. You will work closely with general education teachers, school leaders, and families to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed academically and personally.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement IEPs for students with special needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and school leaders to ensure that students receive the support they need
  • Communicate with families to ensure that they are informed and involved in their child's education
  • Provide academic, emotional, and physical support to students with special needs
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience working with students with special needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
