Overview:

The company is currently in search of a seasoned Litigation Attorney to join its global headquarters. This role is integral to Jabil's Global Litigation Legal team, directly reporting to the VP, Deputy General Counsel - Chief Global Litigation Counsel, and collaborating closely with all legal functions, global business teams, and external legal representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute effective strategies for resolving global commercial and employment disputes, claims, and litigation.
  2. Provide innovative legal solutions and tactical counsel to address complex issues faced by Jabil's global business units.
  3. Lead investigations and work with various functions to enhance Jabil's investigation protocols.
  4. Manage competing workflows, prioritize tasks with internal stakeholders, and ensure timely delivery of results.
  5. Utilize sound judgment to assess and communicate legal risks and benefits.
  6. Collaborate with legal functions and business stakeholders to create, update, and advise on policies and processes.
  7. Proactively oversee commercial and labor & employment litigation, as well as pre-litigation disputes and claims.
  8. Effectively manage external counsel, including engagement, document management, discovery, budgeting, staffing, and strategic direction.
  9. Identify and mitigate legal risks by developing training programs for business leaders on relevant laws and best practices.
  10. Draft legal documents including demand letters, pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and other contracts.
  11. Oversee legal matters in various jurisdictions, both domestically and internationally.
  12. Work with internal clients to drive process improvements and develop self-service tools and risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

  1. J.D. or equivalent legal degree with active membership in a State Bar.
  2. 8-11 years of litigation experience, ideally in both law firm and in-house settings within a global industrial context.
  3. Comprehensive understanding of civil procedure and the discovery process.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively with business leaders, leveraging business principles.
  5. Experience in applying a business-oriented approach to legal problem-solving while recognizing legal complexities.
  6. Proven expertise in litigation management across multiple jurisdictions with minimal supervision.
  7. Ability to lead and implement change aligned with corporate goals and risk management needs.
  8. Experience in budget management and collaboration with external counsel to achieve strategic objectives.
  9. High integrity and ethical standards.
  10. Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills, with strong judgment and initiative.
  11. Ability to make informed decisions and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  12. Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  13. Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple complex legal issues simultaneously.
  14. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in international litigation is advantageous.
  2. Proficiency in a second language, such as Spanish or Mandarin, is a plus.
