Job Summary

As a key member of the Lactalis team, the Mozzarella Production Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mozzarella production department. This role requires a strong leader who can manage and motivate a team to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance plant performance.
  • Utilize ZD as a manufacturing process control tool to ensure accurate and timely information is shared with staff.
  • Ensure production specifications align with company standards and minimize loss of fat and protein while staying within budget.
  • Review regulatory charts, pasteurization, and production-related charts daily, taking corrective action as needed.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control Manager and Laboratory personnel to ensure quality of raw materials, product specifications, and good manufacturing practices.
  • Work closely with Maintenance to address equipment and plant maintenance issues.
  • Monitor inventories of milk, cream, starter, and other materials required for production with RSPC staff.
  • Coordinate sanitation and housekeeping functions with Plant Sanitarian.
  • Assist Mozzarella Production Manager/Assistant Mozzarella Production Manager with planning and scheduling manpower consistent with production requirements.
Requirements
  • Dairy or related experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work required.
  • Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of computer software.
