About the Role:
Garden City Hospital is seeking a motivated and dedicated Student Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Student Respiratory Therapist, you will work under the direction of a registered or certified therapist to perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.
Responsibilities:
- Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.
- Assess, plan, implement, and document care with consideration of age and population-specific needs and requirements of the patient.
- Work under the direction of a registered or certified therapist.
Requirements:
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
- Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.
