Flooring Inspector

We are seeking a skilled Inspector to join our team at Tarkett. As an Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our flooring products, including vinyl, linoleum, rubber, carpet, wood, laminate, artificial turf, and athletic tracks. Your attention to detail and ability to identify defects will be crucial in maintaining our high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct quality control inspections of flooring products to ensure they meet our standards
• Identify and categorize defects, making quality dispositions and repair decisions as needed
• Evaluate product reparability at Tufting and Finishing
• Assist with claims investigations and provide final product inspections
• Conduct Tufting quality control testing audits, verifying pile heights, stitch per inch, texture, and shade
• Audit Tufting style changes according to specifications
• Identify systems and procedures to increase the accuracy of inspection and re-inspect processes
• Approve material for sample quality when needed
• Organize and layout materials for product reviews
• Enter and update roll information into the system
• Make Quality Hold and Inventory Movements in the system
• Verify Tufting and Finishing Meters for accuracy
• Make decisions on product shear levels
• Manage Tufting, Finishing, and Service Center Re-Inspect
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols
Requirements
• Highly skilled with computer use, including full competency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Carpet manufacturing background and experience with lift truck operation
• Ability to lift or move 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment with variable conditions
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
