We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist I to join our team at the California Institution for Men in Chino, San Bernardino County. As a Physical Therapist I, you will be responsible for administering physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatment to inmates/patients in a correctional facility.
Job SummaryThe Physical Therapist I will work under the direction of the Chief Medical Executive and the direct administrative supervision of the Chief Support Executive or Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II, Correctional Facility (CF). The successful candidate will have possession of the legal requirements for the practice of physical therapy in California as determined by the California Medical Board.
Responsibilities- Administer physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatment to inmates/patients in a correctional facility.
- Work under the direction of the Chief Medical Executive and the direct administrative supervision of the Chief Support Executive or Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II, Correctional Facility (CF).
- Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of physical therapy in California as determined by the California Medical Board.
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the minimum qualifications stated in the Classification Specification(s). The selected candidate will be required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to appointment followed by department annual TB testing/evaluation thereafter.
BenefitsThe State of California offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. The estimated salary range for this position is $1,663.20 to $2,467.50 per month, working 12 hours per week.
