Key Responsibilities- Procure, prepare, and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, including gamma cameras and positron emission tomography (PET) scanners.
- Position patients for imaging procedures and ensure that required information is acquired and processed properly.
- Review images to ensure that they are of the highest quality and meet diagnostic standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in nuclear medicine technology and techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine or a related field.
- Registered by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in nuclear medicine.
- Current licensure as a nuclear medicine technologist in the state of Washington, D.C.
- CPR certification.
