Henry Ford Health System is seeking a motivated and dedicated Nurse Resident to join our team. As a Nurse Resident, you will be part of a 12-month program designed to assist novice nurses in transitioning from entry-level advanced beginner to competent professional nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in a comprehensive Nurse Residency program that includes academic and clinical faculty support, peer groups, competency reviews, and workshops.
- Develop critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills in a collaborative interprofessional healthcare team environment.
- Deliver safe and quality patient care, interpreting the philosophy and goals of Henry Ford Health System to others in the work setting.
- Function within established guidelines and demonstrate the ability to work effectively and develop therapeutic relationships with patients, their families, and other professional and supportive personnel.
- Participate in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and engage in implementation of solutions promoting optimum patient outcomes.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with less than six (6) months of experience in a related area of nursing practice.
- Successfully pass NCLEX-RN and hold an active, unrestricted license within 60 days of hire.
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification preferred.
- Successfully complete within orientation.
- Sign a statement of commitment.
