Production Technician Associate

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Production Technician Associate to join our team at GXO Logistics. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling trailer components and sub-assemblies, as well as performing quality inspections of components and sub-assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble trailer components and sub-assemblies using blueprints or work instructions
  • Perform quality inspections of components and sub-assemblies
  • Utilize various measuring and inspection instruments
  • Operate various power and hand tools in a safe manner
  • Work with a variety of materials, including steel, sheet metal, aluminum, solvents, oils, and abrasives
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality standards
  • Organize parts and equipment to maximize efficiency within the department

Requirements:

  • A high degree of technical skills and assembling techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and follow job orders and work procedures
  • Ability to perform work in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent work or military experience
  • 2 years of experience and proven track record of successful performance in a warehouse environment
  • Availability to travel more than 75% of the time
  • Good communication skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and support other team members
  • Ability to be engaged and productive while remaining flexible and adaptable to changing conditions and expectations
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Working Conditions:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work outside on occasion
  • Reach (including above your head)
  • Safely walk, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel
  • Visually adjust focus, have depth perception, and close vision capabilities
