The Patient Care Technician is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient experiences and working collaboratively with our clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Welcome patients and ensure accurate identification
- Prepare patients for assessments, physical examinations, and procedures
- Collect blood samples and perform EKGs as directed
- Assist with patient transportation and meal preparation
- Ensure equipment is functional and clean
- Provide direct hygiene and comfort care to patients
- Take vital signs and document patient information
- Collect and document patient weights and intake/output
- Provide a safe patient environment and respond to call lights promptly
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or Patient Care Technician certification
- At least one year of PCT or CNA experience in a hospital setting (preferred)
