Located in the picturesque town of Angels Camp, California, our outpatient clinic is an integral part of Mark Twain Medical Center, a Critical Access Hospital. As part of CommonSpirit Health, we offer comprehensive healthcare services to nearly 1 in 4 U.S. residents through our network of 139 hospitals and over 1,000 care sites across 21 states.
Angels Camp, nestled in California's Gold Country, boasts a rich history, charming streets, and an annual Calaveras County Fair. Surrounded by scenic hills and vineyards, the area offers a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, swimming, kayaking, skiing, and snowboarding.
ResponsibilitiesAs a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide patient care based on competence, professional expertise, knowledge, and evidence-based practice. Our Physicians Assistant positions are critical to the success of Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital and require a full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.
The Physicians Assistant will perform under the responsibility and supervision of a physician, conducting assessments, diagnostic and therapeutic tasks, and procedures with consideration of patients' age. You will plan, prescribe, and treat in accordance with written protocols and within the area of competency of your supervising physician.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Preferably two years of primary care clinical Physician Assistance experience
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant training program
- Able to take medical history, assess medical condition, and interpret findings
- Able to prepare and maintain records, write reports, and respond to correspondence
- Skill in developing and maintaining clinic quality assurance and a continuous quality improvement program
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with patients, clinical staff, and public
- Skill in staff training
- Able to work in spite of interruptions
- Able to meet deadlines under pressure
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- Current California PA license from the California Medical Board Physician Assistant Examining Committee
- Must be CPR, ACLS, and PALS certified
