Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Intake Specialist to join our team. As an Intake Specialist, you will be responsible for answering inbound calls, securing proper intake information, transferring information into a secure system, and transferring calls to the appropriate TouchCare Health Assistant / Billing Specialist or scheduling a time for a call back.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals.
- Accept inbound Member Inquiries via HIPAA secure system and verbally secure TouchCare Member intake information.
- Transfer or schedule calls with internal Health Assistants and Billing Specialists, and assist Members with system registration navigation and basic outreach member support.
- Maintain a friendly and professional service relationship with our members throughout the intake process.
- Remain empathetic and supportive when Members are frustrated or in need of immediate assistance.
- Bilingual a plus but not required.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong listening and following directions skills.
- Ability to remain calm and supportive during the intake process.
- Reliability, team collaboration, and excellent computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for speaking to members, physicians' offices, hospitals, insurance companies, healthcare facilities, and for noting this in the computer system for follow-up.
- Attention to detail and follow through.
- Must be organized and have the ability to multitask.
- Team player willing to learn, assist, and help other team members as required.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Previous computer experience required.
- Successful background check.
