We are seeking a skilled Machine Repair Technician to join our team at American Axle & Manufacturing. As a Machine Repair Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining equipment, systems, and processes to support manufacturing production.
Key Responsibilities- Perform work within a union environment to maintain equipment, systems, and processes
- Check for backlash in ball screws using indicators and remove and accurately set up and install ball screw assemblies
- Realign turret heads, spindles, chucks, etc. using indicators
- Remove, rebuild, and replace spindles, hydraulic cylinders, and pumps
- Troubleshoot hydraulic systems
- Hold a mobile crane license and rigging certification
- Work well with others and in teams
- Possess a certified journeyperson's card or document a minimum of eight years of experience in a specific trade
- Available to work overtime and flexible schedules as required within union facility agreements
- Available to work any shift as needed
- Pass a pre-employment physical, including drug testing
