SOL Engineering Services, LLC is a leading provider of engineering and technical services with over 19 years of experience in disaster recovery and environmental planning.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Planner to join our team and contribute to the rebuilding and restoration of critical infrastructure and public facilities affected by natural disasters.
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to utilize your expertise in environmental planning, project management, and customer service to make a meaningful impact in communities recovering from disasters.
The successful candidate will work closely with our disaster recovery team to provide technical guidance, support, and project management expertise to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and effective delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Familiarity with FEMA Public Assistance programs, regulations, and guidelines, particularly as they pertain to environmental planning and permitting.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including NEPA, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and historic preservation requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in environmental planning, with a focus on disaster recovery, hazard mitigation, or environmental compliance.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in environmental planning, with a focus on disaster recovery, hazard mitigation, or environmental compliance.
- Be a U.S. citizen and pass an FBI background check.
- Have a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
- Have a current valid driver's license.
We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 per year, based on location and experience.
