Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those with trauma and burn injuries.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpreting electronic displays and taking decisive action as needed.
  • Respond to life-saving situations, adhering to nursing standards and protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, promoting a culture of respect and compassion.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of evidence-based practices and policies.
Requirements
  • Current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license.
  • Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
  • ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC certifications required for certain areas.
  • High acuity progressive care or intermediate critical care experience required; trauma or burn stepdown experience preferred.
