We are in search of a Senior Accountant to become a vital part of our Outsourced Accounting Team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our clients to deliver tailored accounting and financial reporting solutions that assist them in managing and expanding their enterprises.

As a Senior Accountant, you will independently handle assigned client accounts through cloud-based applications, work alongside fellow Outsourced Accounting team members, and report to the Accounting Manager. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of accounting and financial reporting tasks for our clients, including transaction analysis, intricate account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, oversight of staff contributions, and support for existing accounting operations. A key aspect of this position is the ability to proactively identify potential issues, research technical accounting matters, and resolve challenges as an integral part of the clients' accounting services team.

Note: This is a hybrid position requiring in-office work at least two days a week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute complex account reconciliations and transaction recording, adhering to the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closing processes in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Prepare comprehensive client financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and general ledgers.
  • Compile full disclosure financial statements for clients.
  • Generate financial and statistical reports, scrutinizing unusual items and alerting the Accounting Manager as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation and support of the client external audit process.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in various accounting software applications.
  • Acquire a deep understanding of the financial operations of our clients across diverse industries.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in public and/or private accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems such as Intacct, NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, Concur, or Expensify.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA certification or candidacy.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Experience in account reconciliation and auditing.
  • Familiarity with SEC reporting.
  • Experience in a paperless work environment.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Capacity to perform effectively in challenging situations.
