The Lehi City Police Department is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Police Officers. As a Police Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining public safety and serving the community of Lehi, a dynamic and progressive city with over 80,000 residents.
Responsibilities- Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public safety and order.
- Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance to the public.
- Investigate crimes and gather evidence to support prosecutions.
- Participate in community policing initiatives to build trust and partnerships with the community.
- Work collaboratively with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations to achieve common goals.
- Be at least 21 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have a valid Utah driver's license and be able to pass a background check.
- Be certified as a Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) in the State of Utah or be certifiable prior to employment.
- Have a strong understanding of community-oriented policing principles and practices.
- Be able to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Lehi City Police Department Officers work 7 shifts of 12 hours per pay period with two additional hours within the pay period, totaling 86 hours every two weeks. Tasks require a variety of physical activities periodically involving muscular strain related to walking, standing, stooping, sitting, and reaching. Essential functions require talking, hearing, and seeing. Mental application utilizes memory for details, emotional stability, discriminating thinking, and creative problem-solving. Frequent travel required in course of performing portions of job functions. Elements of the job pose various degrees of hazard uncertainty common to law enforcement. Police officers must occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, police officers work in outside weather conditions. Police officers occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, in precarious places, with firearms ammunition and explosives and are occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat, extreme cold, and vibration.
