Job Overview:

As a Senior Care Provider with Home Instead, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors, delivering non-medical services that promote independence, dignity, and comfort.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Personal Support: Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring their personal needs are met.
  • Companionship Services: Facilitate meaningful conversations, assist with mobility, prepare meals, remind clients about medications and appointments, and perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry and errands.
  • Specialized Support: Provide care and support for clients with Alzheimer's/Dementia and Hospice care needs, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Foster a positive living environment that enhances the client's overall well-being.
  • Document daily activities and report any significant changes in a client's condition to ensure their needs are met.
  • Maintain open communication with supervisors and office staff for effective collaboration.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Complete all training through our designated online learning platform, ensuring you have the skills and knowledge required to excel in your role.
  • Participate in company-sponsored training sessions and team-building events, further developing your expertise and building relationships within the team.
  • Accurately report working hours and notify office staff of any changes in your availability promptly, ensuring seamless communication and scheduling.
  • Document client information diligently in the Client and Life Journal, maintaining accurate records and supporting informed decision-making.
  • Occasionally run errands or provide transportation for clients using your own or their vehicle, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Willingly take on other duties as assigned to support our team, showcasing your commitment to delivering exceptional care and service.

Essential Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds, ensuring safe and comfortable interactions with clients.
  • Capability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed, adapting to various environments and situations.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance, allowing you to transport clients safely and efficiently.
  • Mature judgment in treating clients and their property with dignity and respect, upholding the values of Home Instead Senior Care.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different environments and living situations, responding to changing client needs and circumstances.
  • Friendly and congenial communication skills, ensuring positive interactions with clients and colleagues alike.
