We are seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmic Documentation Specialist to join our team at Retina Consultants of Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate documentation and summarization of ocular examinations, as well as maintaining patient flow and communication regarding appointment status.

The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately document examination findings and treatment plans
  • Maintain patient charts and records
  • Assist physicians with patient care and examination procedures
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other staff members

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelors degree preferred
  • At least 6 months experience in a medical office setting
  • Scribe certification (certified ophthalmic assistant) preferred
