Primary Care Physician

AdeIphi Medical Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Physician to provide medical services in a correctional facility setting. As a Primary Care Physician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, adhering to established medical standards and principles.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Medical Services: Deliver primary care services to patients, including routine check-ups, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Treatment Authorization: Obtain prior written authorization from the facility's CEO or designee for non-emergency specialty treatment, consultations, or diagnostic procedures.
- Transportation/Transfer Authorization: Obtain prior written authorization from the facility's CEO or designee for patient transfers.
- Experimental and Investigational Drugs and Procedures: Ensure that only recognized and safe medical services are provided, and obtain prior authorization for experimental or investigational treatments.
- Exclusions and Limitations: Provide healthcare services and treatment in accordance with California Code of Regulations, and seek prior approval for excluded or limited services.
- Clinical Reviews: Conduct clinical reviews to assess the quality of clinical care provided, and participate in Professional Practice Committee activities as required.
- Medication Management: Consult with physicians to ensure that only medications listed in the formulary are prescribed, unless prior authorization is granted.
- Active California Physician License: Possess an active California Physician license.
- Primary Care Experience: Have a minimum of two years of experience in primary care (adult) as a Physician within the last three years.
- Clinical Competencies: Maintain up-to-date and validated clinical competencies for the specific area in which you will be assigned.
This position requires working in a correctional facility setting, providing medical services to patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
