Job Summary

A General Maintenance Engineer III will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and front-of-house areas. This includes routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and ensuring the hotel's interior and exterior are well-maintained and in good repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Routine Maintenance
    • Conduct regular inspections of the hotel premises and equipment to identify and address maintenance issues.
    • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and other mechanical equipment.
    • Ensure the hotel's interior and exterior are well-maintained and in good repair.
  • Repairs
    • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues as needed.
    • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
    • Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components and fixtures.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and hotel policies.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans.
  • Equipment Management
    • Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
    • Recommend the purchase of new equipment and supplies as needed.
    • Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order and properly stored.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with other departments to ensure maintenance issues are resolved promptly.
    • Assist in training and supervising junior maintenance staff as needed.
    • Participate in meetings and provide input on maintenance-related issues.
  • Guest Service
    • Maintain a high level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with guests.
    • Address guest complaints and maintenance requests promptly and effectively.
    • Ensure that all guest areas are safe and comfortable.
    Physical Requirements
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
    • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching.
    • Ability to work in various environmental conditions (e.g., heat, cold, confined spaces).
