Surgical Oncology Charge Nurse

UCHealth is seeking a dynamic and experienced Charge Nurse to join our Surgical Oncology team at the Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide top-notch patient care, prioritize wellness, and contribute to a culture of safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
• Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, prioritizing patient needs and promoting a patient-centered approach.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes, values a team-based approach, and models proficiency through precepting new team members.
• Contributes to a culture of safety and quality, prioritizing patient safety and well-being, and promotes a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, contributes to the development of evidence-based care models, and promotes a culture of innovation and excellence.
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program, with a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritize multiple tasks, and maintain a high level of professionalism and composure under pressure.
