Job Title: Emergency Medical Technician

At AMR, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. As an EMT, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and customer service in emergency and non-emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain thorough familiarity with treatment protocols, response requirements, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Stay aware of any changes in system components and company policy.
  • Ensure certification is consistent with performing tasks in the assigned system.
  • Comply with all state and company requirements for operating a motor vehicle.
  • Develop ability to quickly and safely locate addresses through knowledge of number systems and street layouts.
  • Ensure the unit remains in a state of readiness in terms of mechanical reliability, medical supply, and equipment.
  • Report any discrepancies in vehicle or equipment standards to the Lead Mechanic.
  • Complete all appropriate documentation as outlined in company policy.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the quarters assigned.
  • Report all problems and unusual occurrences to the Lead Technician or Supervisor.
  • Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to hygiene and uniform standards.
  • Maintain a level of physical fitness consistent with lifting and moving patients weighing 200 lbs. with the assistance of a partner.
  • Attend all mandatory in-services.
  • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with allied health and public safety personnel.
Principal Accountabilities:
  • Complete and accurate documentation of patient assessment and treatment.
  • Complete and accurate documentation of patient statistical and billing information and services rendered.
  • Adherence to medical treatment protocol.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • EMT IV State endorsement.
  • Emergency Medical Technician training and certification as required by County to which assigned.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/CPR) certification for all EMT levels.
  • FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800.
  • Emergency vehicle operation knowledge.
  • Radio communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of medical supplies and equipment contained in the vehicle.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to employ discretion and confidentiality in sensitive areas.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions.
  • Ability to perform the essential job functions.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License.
  • Acceptable driving record.
