About the Opportunity:
Creative Financial Staffing is partnering with a small, long-term care/retirement community in Maryland. Due to a recent resignation, they are seeking an experienced interim CFO who can take on key financial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee applicant' financials and manage the new resident financial approval process.
  • Handle month-end close duties and perform financial statement preparation.
  • Develop financial and tax strategies, as well as annual budgets.
  • Manage corporate expense and capital budget development, and assist directors in developing their yearly departmental budgets.
  • Perform all operational accounting functions, including billing and collections, GL entries, payroll processing, account reconciliations, and bank account reconciliations.
  • Conduct Payroll-Based Journaling (PBJ) and facilitate audit reporting and processes.
  • Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
  • Provide consultative support to department directors and managers by offering financial support for organizational and departmental planning initiatives.
  • Prepare IRS 1099 forms and collaborate with the director of business development to ensure efficient and accurate settlement processes for new residents.
  • Oversee transaction processing systems and ensure financial recording and reporting systems meet GAAP standards.
  • Timely issue financial information and report results to the board of directors.
  • Construct and monitor reliable control systems, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Report risk issues to the audit committee and maintain relationships with external auditors.
