Job Duties:

  • Recognize and practice within the limitations of responsibilities according to educational preparation and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Provide ongoing monitoring of physical, functional, psychological, social, and spiritual and safety needs of the Patient/Family/PCG and performs appropriate emergent skilled interventions, treatments, follow-through or referral in collaboration with Primary RN following the Plan of Care.
  • Responsible for reviewing patient progress report prior to shift.
  • Arrives on time for shift change to begin report and narcotic counts.
  • Provide skilled, competent nursing care under the direction of the Primary RN to crisis care team patients and their families.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licensure: Valid Florida LPN License.
  • Continuing Education: As required for licensure.
  • Certifications: Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Additional Requirements:

  • Offer Employment Testing (POET) or Fit for Duty examination (as necessary) with "Capable" result required.
  • Additional experience in other health care settings desirable.
  • For field-based positions, employees must have reliable transportation which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion.
  • Must provide proof of valid automobile insurance, a copy of which will be placed in the employee's HR file.
