Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) to join our multidisciplinary team as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP). The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, prescribing medications, and monitoring patient progress in an outpatient setting.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Clinical Services
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for clients.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Prescribe medications and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal client outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
- Clinical Collaboration and Consultation
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director, therapists, and other clinicians to provide integrated care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to discuss client cases and coordinate treatment strategies.
- Serve as a clinical resource, providing consultation on complex cases and assisting with clinical decision-making.
- Program Development and Implementation
- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and programs to meet client needs effectively.
- Stay current with advancements in mental health care and incorporate evidence-based practices into clinical services.
- Compliance and Quality Improvement Initiatives
- Ensure all services comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational standards.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of care.
- Education and Experience
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Licensed as an APRN with prescriptive authority.
- Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Experience working with individuals with mental health and substance use disorders is preferred.
