As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our manufacturing machinery to achieve production goals while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities of the Machine Operator:
- Prepare machines before production runs, ensuring accurate calibration and setup.
- Oversee machine performance during operation, making adjustments as needed to maintain peak efficiency and product quality.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to detect and resolve any issues or potential failures.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks on equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts, to ensure uninterrupted operation and avoid breakdowns.
- Keep detailed records of production activities, including machine settings, output quantities, and any deviations from standard procedures.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Experience in production machine operation is preferred.
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, and use arms, wrists, and hands (including grasping and squeezing) throughout the shift.
- Must be capable of lifting and/or moving materials weighing up to 50lbs with a dolly or hand truck.
- Strong commitment to punctuality and attendance.
- Willingness to work for a growing company.
- Experience in food production or packaging is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, adapting to schedule and production changes.
- Enjoys collaborating with a team.
Job Details:
- Temp-to-Hire position.
- 12-hour shifts: 5am-5pm or 5pm-5am (initially may work 10 hours during training before transitioning to 12 hours). All hours worked over 2 hours in a day are compensated at an overtime rate.
- Schedule: Sunday through every other Wednesday (1st half of the week) - Shift 1 is DAYS 5am-5pm, Shift 2 is NIGHTS 5pm-5am. Every other Wednesday through Saturday (2nd half of the week) - Shift 3 is DAYS 5am-5pm, Shift 4 is NIGHTS 5pm-5am.
- Compensation: $18.15 for DAY shifts, $20.65 for NIGHT shifts (includes a $2.50/hr differential).
