The Senior Automotive Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that all repairs are executed accurately and efficiently by skilled technicians. This position is responsible for diagnosing and resolving vehicle issues while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction in line with industry regulations and company policies.
Compensation: $45.00 flag rate

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose vehicles based on certifications and experience.
- Execute tasks outlined in the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with precision and efficiency.
- Conduct complex and heavy-duty repairs.
- Communicate technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to non-technical individuals, including management and customers.
- Advise on essential services to maintain vehicle performance; document all recommendations in customer records.
- Adhere to safety protocols and report any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
- Maintain relevant ASE certifications and renew any expiring credentials.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
- Proficient in using computerized diagnostic equipment.
- Valid and current driver's license.
- Current ASE certifications are preferred.
- Availability to work a minimum of five days, including weekends.
Working Conditions:
The Senior Automotive Technician will encounter moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, and various automotive materials. The work environment may experience temperature fluctuations, including extreme heat or cold.
Physical requirements include:
- Ability to stand for five hours and walk to access different areas.
- Regular bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching for up to 10 hours daily; full range of motion with arms and hands is necessary.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Capability to hear and speak clearly.
- Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and focus.
