Job Summary:

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, apparatus, and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Use man lifts, forklifts, hoists, and electrical testing equipment as required.
  • Work safely and follow all documented and common sense safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve electrical system issues.
  • Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices.
  • Comply with good housekeeping practices on the job and ensure work areas are clean and picked up after each job completion.
  • Help with electrical training of other maintenance personnel.
  • Comply with safety requirements and notify management of noted exceptions.
  • Follow all environmental compliance policies and programs.
  • Work as instructed with outside contractors.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Basic Computer Skills.
  • Electrical, PLC, Hydraulic, Pneumatics, Basic Blueprint & Schematic reading, Basic Welding.
  • Able to think under pressure and make quick decisions.
  • Ability to work well in a team or alone.
  • Able to communicate in English.
  • Good attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with industrial electrical systems and equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and diagnostic testing.
