Ciena Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Infection Preventionist to join our team. As an Infection Preventionist, you will be responsible for designing systems to prevent or control infections based on surveillance reports of infections among residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor healthcare-associated infections to identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct thorough assessments of infection prevention problems and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and implement effective infection prevention policies and procedures.
• Investigate and mitigate the risk of outbreaks.
• Report communicable diseases to the relevant authorities as required by law.
• Provide educational offerings for orientation and ongoing training sessions.
• Collaborate with department heads and physicians to enhance patient care.
• Follow up on employee/resident exposures to communicable diseases.
