Job Title: Lead Software Engineer

Capital One is seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to join our team. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development of our iOS and Android applications, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of iOS and Android applications, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, UX/UI designers, and product owners to design and develop software solutions.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, contributing to ensure team commitments are delivered on time and of the highest quality.
  • Act as an advocate for the mobile platform, engaging with internal and external developer communities.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in mobile development, influencing and contributing to group discussions.
  • Mentor junior to mid-level team members, providing guidance and support.
  • Engage with developers across various disciplines, identifying technical obstacles and finding creative solutions.
  • Review pull requests, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on iOS development.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Swift and iOS development.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on iOS development.
  • 4+ years of experience with Swift and iOS development.
  • 4+ years of experience in open-source frameworks.
  • 2+ years of experience with agile practices.
