Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to join our team at Amedisys. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide high-quality patient care in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for patients.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, hygiene, and toileting.
  • Prepare and serve meals, and perform light homemaking and other environmental services.
  • Monitor and report any changes in patient status, including body functions and emergency situations.
  • Follow care center procedures for infection prevention and control, hazardous waste handling, and safety measures.
  • Assist patients with prescribed exercises and activities as instructed by nurses or therapists.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant.
  • CNA experience within the last two years, or completion of another training and competency program.
  • Current CPR certification.
