Salary and Benefits: The base pay range for this role is $70,000-$90,000 USD per year, determined within a range that allows for career growth and advancement opportunities at Gotion.
Job Description: As an Electrical Systems Engineer at Gotion, you will engage with battery storage system BoS suppliers to drive integration efforts between our energy storage products and downstream equipment. Your responsibilities will include developing and reviewing performance modeling of LFP battery energy storage systems, providing guidance to external customers on modeling methodologies, and working with internal applications engineering teams to support sales staff in providing robust energy storage system proposals and project designs.
- Develop Performance Modeling: Create and review performance models of LFP battery energy storage systems to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
- Integrate with Downstream Equipment: Collaborate with BoS suppliers to integrate our energy storage products with downstream equipment, including PCS, EMS, and other power and monitoring systems.
- Support Sales Staff: Work with internal applications engineering teams to provide sales staff with robust energy storage system proposals and project designs.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, 3+ years of experience in electrical hardware integration, power converter design/testing, utility power distribution, or other relevant industry experience. Prior work experience in energy storage, power distribution, solar, or other renewable energy is strongly preferred.
- Electrical Engineering Background: A strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices is essential for success in this role.
- Experience with Energy Storage Systems: Previous experience with energy storage systems, including design, testing, and implementation, is highly desirable.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical problem-solving skills are required to troubleshoot complex hardware/software systems and develop effective solutions.
