We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced attorney to join our team as a Senior Insurance Defense Attorney. As a member of our Corporate Law Division, you will be responsible for delivering legal services in an objective and unbiased manner, in accordance with the attorneys' ethical and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities- Handle cases involving claims with high financial exposure and complexity, including cases involving complex medical issues, catastrophic injuries, or sensationalized accident facts.
- Conduct depositions and present expert testimony in trial, utilizing automation systems and tools to effectively and efficiently present cases in the courtroom.
- Supervise and develop assigned support staff, mentor other attorneys, and serve as a resource person on varied and complex legal issues and administrative matters.
- Actively engage in the development of others, including teaching of classes or seminars to claims or peers.
- Contribute to office improvement by engaging and responding to Excellence in Operations Management (EOM) dialogues and activities.
- 5+ years of personal injury experience, preferably in insurance defense.
- Jury trial experience and arbitration, deposition, and discovery experience are ideal.
- Ability to handle an inventory of 70+ files and excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational and technology skills.
- J.D. from an A.B.A. Accredited Law School, in the top half of graduating class, and an active member in good standing of the Bar in the state of operation.
- Active law license to practice in Pennsylvania and a member in good standing with the State Bar of Pennsylvania.
