About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Client Accounting Services department. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing high-level clients across various industries, managing daily operations, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee daily operations, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll processing, account reconciliations, payroll sales & mill tax, and fixed asset activity.
  • Plan, assign, and review client projects, providing input into department and staff goal setting.
  • Develop and document business processes and policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, general ledger functions, and posting adjusting journal entries.
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures to improve efficiencies.
Requirements
  • CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
  • 2+ years in accounting; public accounting preferred.
  • B.A./B.S. in Accounting or equivalent or higher.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures.
  • Direct & professional communication skills.
  • Experience with accounting software and technology; Accounting CAS and QuickBooks (Desktop & Online) preferred.
Work Environment
  • Work Style: Hybrid, with flexibility for face-to-face client meetings.
  • Location Preference: Candidates should live close to Modesto.
  • Positions: Seeking three Senior Accountants.
