Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Behavioral Therapist to join our team at Menta Academy Northwest. This salaried position offers a competitive estimated salary of $65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

In this role, you will work closely with students, parents, educators, and other professionals to create supportive academic and social environments. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement positive behavioral interventions that meet the needs of a diverse student population.

About the Position

This direct-hire, salaried position comes with benefits and paid time off. You will work hours from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, following a school calendar. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent consultative and data analysis abilities.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required. If you are a creative thinker who can develop a wide range of interventions and have excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Employ data-based decision-making regarding multidisciplinary collaboration, functional behavior assessments, and behavioral approaches
  • Build leadership to effectively help students succeed
  • Develop positive behavioral and academic interventions
  • Monitor and report student progress and complete evaluations, program evaluations, and consult with educational staff, parents, and other professionals
  • Some local travel to other Menta locations may be necessary at times
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have one of the following licenses or certifications:

  • Certified School Social Worker (IL PEL Certificate)
  • Certified School Psychologist (IL PEL Certificate)
  • MSW with LSW, LCSW, or LCPC or LPC

You should also have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent consultative and data analysis abilities. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
