Greater East Texas Community Action Program (GETCAP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential services to low-income households in East Texas. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a valid and reliable curriculum, creating a safe and healthy learning environment, and promoting the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children.

Responsibilities:

• Create a safe and healthy learning environment for preschool-aged children.
• Implement a valid and reliable curriculum to promote the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
• Promote good health and nutrition practices.
• Encourage children to explore and express their creative abilities.
• Help children develop a sense of independence and self-confidence.
• Foster an environment where children can learn and practice behaviors that are appropriate and acceptable individually and in a group.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A.A. or B.A. degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
• Positive, motivating, and energetic personality.
• Professionalism and ability to work in a changing environment.
• Ability to observe multiple activities/children simultaneously.
• Ability to make decisions regarding classroom operations.
