As a Laundry Worker, you will be responsible for collecting and sorting soiled linen, loading and unloading machines, folding clean linen, operating computer-operated washers and dryers, counting and recording the linen processed each day, and making proper deliveries to units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and sort soiled linen in a timely and efficient manner
- Load and unload machines, ensuring proper operation and maintenance
- Fold clean linen to high standards of quality and presentation
- Operate computer-operated washers and dryers, following established protocols and procedures
- Count and record the linen processed each day, ensuring accurate and reliable data
- Make proper deliveries to units, ensuring timely and efficient service
- Clean and sanitize the work area, maintaining a safe and healthy environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in laundry or related field preferred
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
