About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Specialist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat the cardiovascular system.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, reviewing medical history, positioning patients, and cleaning/shaving/testing sites as necessary.
  • Interpret, describe, and report test results, recognizing recording errors and artifacts and taking appropriate action.
  • Monitor patients prior to, during, and after procedures, promptly reporting any abnormal findings in patient condition.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and lab areas, ensuring equipment is properly functioning and reporting potential problems or malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following: Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Preferred Credentials
  • Advanced Life Support.
  • Approved Local Exception.
Education

High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

Work Experience

None required.

Additional Preferences
  • One year of Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology Experience.
  • One year of recent experience as a Cardiovascular Technician.
