Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Administrative Nursing Supervisor to join our team at Tuality Healthcare. As a key member of our nursing department, you will be responsible for leading and managing the clinical operations of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the nursing department, ensuring high-quality patient care and excellent customer service.
  • Develop and implement effective staffing plans to meet patient care needs.
  • Collaborate with directors and other stakeholders to plan and coordinate nursing department activities.
  • Represent the hospital administration and nursing department in their absence.
  • Manage relief supervisors, including hiring, supervision, and performance development.
  • Prepare staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet patient care requirements.
  • Facilitate patient placement and coordinate staff assignments to meet patient care needs.
  • Monitor and manage low census situations, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Document variances in staffing worksheets and maintain accurate records.
  • Share information with staff to keep them informed of policy changes and corporate financial status.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant clinical experience in an acute care setting and BSN.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by Oregon State Board of Nursing.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
  • Preferred: Master of Science in Nursing, two or more years of prior management experience, and ACLS certification.

  • Utilizes effective conflict resolution skills and demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Manages multiple tasks, priorities, deadlines, and interruptions successfully.
  • Uses PC skills in communicating and analyzing data.
  • Demonstrates skills in caring for neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Demonstrates basic skills in operation of telephone, two-way radio, beeper, Lotus Notes, Word, simple spreadsheets, internet, and routine nursing equipment.
  • Fulfills the procedures for use of personal protective equipment, infection control, and disposal of hazardous waste and sharps.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of hiring and compensation process/policies.
  • Demonstrates confidentiality according to PHI regarding patient and co-worker information.
  • Effectively manages multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Performs management functions consistent with policies & procedures.
  • Provides leadership and direction in accordance with corporate mission, values, goals, and objectives.
  • Provides care appropriate to the age of patients served.
