Financial Analyst

Location: Gillette, Wyoming

Department: Finance

Reports to: Western Regional Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to support the Western Regional Controller in all activities related to revenue and expenditure analysis, cost management, inventory review, accounting transactions, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ensure the application of accounting policies and procedures, maintaining appropriate internal control standards in accordance with GAAP.
• Deliver comprehensive, complete, and timely financial information to the Controller.
• Perform financial analysis that is compliant with internal and external requirements.
• Support the Controller in overseeing the financial close and internal reporting process.
• Support the Controller in reviews of the financial statements.
• Deliver effective, timely communication on all relevant issues to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the identification and implementation of improvements in the areas of controlling.
• Assist and support the Controller with entity-level reporting requirements, cash forecasting, net working capital, balance sheet review, and internal controls.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills at all levels both internally and externally.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Good commercial awareness and deep business understanding.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities and processes.
• Team Player able to work effectively across disciplines and locations.
• Highly developed skills in financial reporting, application of accounting principles, and tax regulations, financial decision making, and internal control.

• Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficient in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics D365 a plus).

• Fluent English.
