The Marketing Communications Intern will provide overall support to the Marketing team through the coordination and implementation of our overall content strategy and social media strategy for Royal Credit Union and its subsidiary brands. They are responsible for assisting with multiple marketing initiatives as it relates to overall marketing strategies, key success factors, and corporate goals for Royal Credit Union.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of content marketing strategies to engage with our target audience.
  • Support the creation and distribution of marketing materials, including social media posts, blog articles, and email campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute marketing initiatives, including events and promotions.
  • Conduct research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in marketing and social media.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide administrative support to the marketing team, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Enrolled in a University or Technical College program related to Marketing, Digital Marketing, Social Media, Communications, or similar field.
  2. Experience working in Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud.
  3. Understanding of all social media channels, and the differences of each.
  4. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
  5. Ability to work independently.
  6. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  7. Strong work ethic.
  8. Experience with marketing computer software.
  9. Flexible work schedule.
  10. Willingness to learn on the job and share experiences with other members of the team.
  11. Work efficiently in a high-volume environment with multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
