Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to process and launder linens, towels, and other hotel textiles. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and press linens, towels, and other hotel textiles according to established procedures and standards.
  • Operate commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironing machines, safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect laundered items for cleanliness, stains, and damage; remove any items that do not meet quality standards.
  • Maintain inventory of clean linens, towels, and other textiles, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet operational needs.
  • Monitor linen usage and identify opportunities to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
  • Coordinate with the Housekeeping Supervisor to replenish linen supplies as needed.
  • Ensure all laundered items meet quality standards for cleanliness, appearance, and durability.
  • Follow proper procedures for stain removal, fabric care, and garment handling to minimize damage and maintain the integrity of textiles.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the Laundry Supervisor for prompt resolution.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and regulations, including the proper handling and disposal of chemicals.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols when operating laundry equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Housekeeping team and hotel staff to ensure efficient operation of the laundry department.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to coordinate tasks, share information, and address any issues or concerns.
Requirements

Qualifications:

Previous experience in laundry operations or housekeeping preferred but not required.

Basic knowledge of laundry equipment and procedures.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards.

Physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy items for extended periods.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
