We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Senior Deli Clerk to join our team at Sprouts Farmers Market. As a key member of our Deli department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, preparing fresh and easy meals, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present a variety of meats, cheeses, and other Deli department products to meet customer needs and preferences.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to customers on products and services, ensuring a positive and engaging shopping experience.
- Assist with Deli department operations, including inventory management, food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with the Deli Manager and Assistant Deli Manager to achieve department goals and objectives, driving sales growth and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of products, including meats, cheeses, and other Deli department items, to provide accurate and informed recommendations to customers.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet customer needs and support business operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
- Ability to lift and carry product weighing up to 70 lbs., for a distance of up to 20 feet, without mechanical assistance.
- Ability to stand for up to 4 hours continuously, for a total of 8 hours per shift.
