Job Summary

Corewell Health is seeking a highly skilled Special Procedure Technologist to join our team. As a Special Procedure Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing direct care to patients undergoing heart and/or vascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor patients undergoing routine invasive, interventional procedures
  • Provide intra-procedural technical support and quality patient-centered care
  • Perform and record hemodynamic/physiologic wave forms and calculations
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, physicians, patients, families, and ancillary departments
  • Perform quality assurance checks on technical equipment
  • Maintain radiation safety standards for staff and patients
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT) for Interventional Radiology
  • Graduate of a Cardiovascular Technologist program, Associate degree in cardiovascular technology/basic science, Paramedic license, Exercise Physiologist, or equivalent training and/or education for Cath Lab/EP Lab
  • Clinical experience required through graduation of one of the above listed programs
  • 1 year of experience in EP, Cath Lab or IR required
Preferred Qualifications
  • BLS certification and active RT status upon hire, RT-CV or VI within 2 years of hire for IR
  • BLS upon hire and ACLS within time frame identified by each individual site with a maximum of 6 months for Cath Lab and EP Lab
  • Registered RCES/RCIS/RT certification, and IABP certification for Cath Lab
  • Registered RCIS/RCES certification for EP Lab
