Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Job Opportunity

Amigo Baby, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. As a SLPA, you will play a vital role in providing individualized speech therapy to children aged birth to 3 years, under the direction of a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).

Responsibilities:
  • Provide speech therapy services to children in their homes, using a play-based approach.
  • Support and facilitate each child's progress through developmental milestones, promoting inclusion and fostering strong caregiver-child relationships.
  • Monitor child's progress and report to supervising SLP.
  • Educate parents about speech therapy techniques for practice outside of sessions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including child development specialists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, service coordinators, physicians, and family.
Requirements:
  • Active California state license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or in the process of obtaining one.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Current TB test.
  • Current physical examination.
  • Desire to work with patients in a home setting.
  • Commitment to excellence in your work.
  • Pediatric experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual experience is also highly valued.
