Position Overview

The Respiratory Therapist plays a crucial role in the evaluation, treatment, and management of patients experiencing respiratory or cardiopulmonary issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver respiratory care in accordance with physician directives and established protocols.
  • Engage in the formulation and/or execution of patient care strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations as well as accepted professional standards.
  • Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members through effective communication.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapy methods and objectives.
  • Accurately document and maintain patient records.
Qualifications
  • Valid Respiratory Therapist credentials from the NBRC and current CPR certification are mandatory.
  • A minimum of eighteen months of experience in respiratory care is preferred, particularly in critical care environments.
