Job Summary:
As an EMT Basic, you will provide emergency medical care to patients in a variety of settings. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care to patients
• Transport patients to medical facilities and continue to provide care during transport
• Maintain composure in stressful situations and assess medical situations to perform emergency procedures
• Safely transfer patients onto and lift stretchers into ambulances

Requirements:
• Illinois Licensure as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)-Basic
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
• Skills and experience to function at the BLS level of service
• Must pass Region XI CNEMS System Entry process
• Current CPR card
• Consent to a criminal background check
• Ability to lift/push/pull at least 150+ lbs

Preferred Qualifications:
• PHTLS Certificate
• ITLS Certificate
• National Registry Certification
