Transportation Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a responsible and detail-orientedDriver - Non CDL to join our transportation team at Maize Unified School District 266. As a Driver - Non CDL, you will be responsible for transporting students to and from school, as well as accompanying them on extra-curricular activities. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safe arrival and departure of our students.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operating condition

• Organize pupil information to produce and update route maps of assigned students

• Communicate directly with parents/guardians to meet students' needs and provide information

• Clean assigned vehicle, both interior and exterior, to ensure safety, appearance, and sanitation

• Direct the orderly loading and unloading of students to avoid injuries

• Monitor students and other passengers during transit and advise on appropriate behavior

• Provide emergency first aid and/or CPR as necessary

• Complete and submit reports of incidents, complaints, accidents, potential emergency situations, and passenger misconduct

• Conduct emergency evacuation drills to ensure efficiency of procedures and compliance

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a valid Kansas driver's license, a current TB test, and a valid Medic First Aid Training Certificate. You will also need to be able to drive during darkness and work in extreme weather conditions. Additionally, you must be able to spend the majority of your time sitting and be able to lift, carry, stoop, and kneel as needed.
