Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified Actuarial Fellow Instructor to join our team at the Eli Broad College of Business. This is a part-time, non-tenure track position that will involve teaching undergraduate level insurance and risk management courses.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in various areas of insurance and risk management, including fundamentals of risk management, ERM, and insurance coverages.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote learning.
  • Advise and mentor students, providing guidance on academic and career goals.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and course materials.
  • Participate in departmental and college service activities.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in a business or related field, or actuarial certification.
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
  • Experience with technology and instructional tools.
  • Strong commitment to equity and inclusion in education.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Significant professional experience in the insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of insurance operations and business organizations.
  • Experience with course design and interdisciplinary teaching.
